I graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Biology (Moscow, Russia) and pursued a Master’s degree in Life Sciences at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. My Master thesis focus was on RNA polymerases of a thermophilic phage. Later, I moved to Cork, Ireland, where I worked at University College Cork, studying crAssphages—the most abundant phages in the human gut.
